Swiftwater Rescue Technician Unit 1

The course is designed for raft guides, emergency service personnel, mountain rescue teams and whitewater boaters. In fact anyone who will need to perform rescues in a swiftwater environment. It is internationally recognised and certified through Rescue 3.

The 3 day course includes a core syllabus of

• River hydrology & hazards
• Rescue team organisation
• Defensive & aggressive swimming techniques
• Throwline rescues
• Contact rescues
• Tethered boat rescues
• Rope based rescues

but can be fine tuned to suit your specific requirements.
