MBLA

First aid training must be provided by organisations approved by HSE for purposes of first aid training, and delivered by staff who are registered with that organisation as first aid trainers/assessors. Courses must be a minimum of 12 hours, with no sessions shorter than 2 hours. The course must contain material relevant to the outdoor environment.

RYA

Either the RYA first aid course or on the list of courses recognised by the RYA.

BCA

Candidates must hold an appropriate First Aid certificate (16 hours). During assessment, candidates may be required to explain or demonstrate the practical use of First Aid procedures in the cave environment.
